Fugitive Mehul Choksi, accused in ₹13,000-crore PNB scam, is still an Indian citizen, India informed a Belgian court as part of extradition proceedings. India claimed Choksi's renunciation of citizenship didn't adhere to rules and was "a ploy to save himself from being sent to India". India also shared Antiguan PM Gaston Browne's 2019 notice seeking revocation of Choksi's Antiguan citizenship.
