Fully functioning living human skin grown in lab for first time

In a world-first, University of Queensland scientists successfully grew fully functioning living human skin in laboratory. The researchers used stem cells to create replica of human skin, complete with blood vessels, capillaries, hair follicles, layers of tissue and immune cells. It'll lead to great improvements in treatment of skin disease, burns & other injuries requiring skin grafts, they said.
