After rejecting Meta's $800 million buyout bid, Korean AI chipmaker FuriosaAI secured LG as its first major client. LG AI Research will use Furiosa's RNGD chips for its EXAONE LLMs, citing 2.25-times better inference performance per watt than GPUs. The deal marks Furiosa's commercial debut, with US, Middle East, and Asia expansions planned for H2 2025.
