Continuous heavy rainfall in Varanasi caused the Ganga River to approach the danger mark, submerging all 84 ghats. Over 6,500 people have been displaced across the district. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath directed ministers to visit affected districts and inspect relief efforts. He affirmed that the state government ensures safety, food, shelter, and healthcare of every affected citizen.
