Ludhiana police brought gangster Ashu from Faridkot jail in a cross-border drug smuggling case. After arresting drug peddler Mukkal Mattu, they seized 1.05 kg heroin, weapons, and ₹2.5 lakh. Investigations revealed Ashu facilitated heroin and weapon supply from Pakistan-based suppliers to Mukkal, using Instagram to communicate, said Crime Branch Inspector Beant Juneja.
