Dr Alok Sagar Gautam, Assistant Professor at Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, has been selected to contribute to ISRO's Venus Orbiter Mission (Shukrayaan-1), India's first mission to Venus. A specialist in atmospheric and environmental physics, Dr Gautam will help study Venus's surface and atmosphere. His research experience and Antarctic expedition work will aid India's programme.
