Four farmers from Garo Hills were honoured at the National Conclave on Natural Fibres in New Delhi for promoting Ramie, one of the world’s strongest natural fibres. Led by Philipson T Sangma and his team, the group has revived Ramie cultivation in Meghalaya, blending traditional knowledge with sustainable farming and community-driven innovation.
