Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said an inquiry found that Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza was bombed accidentally "due to an unintentional deviation of munitions" during operations by its troops. "Guidelines for opening fire near religious buildings, shelters, and other sensitive sites [have been]...clarified," IDF added. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu had apologised to Pope Leo over the strikes.
