Germany's cabinet passed a draft bill to introduce a voluntary military service as the country seeks to boost national defences over Russian security concerns. It's a six-month scheme aimed at increasing number of trained reservists from current level of around 1,00,000. "The international security situation...above all Russia's aggressive posture, makes this necessary," a German Minister said.
