Commenting on confrontation between Shubman Gill and Zak Crawley at Lord's, former England all-rounder Moeen Ali opined that Gill's aggression brought out "best of England" and the "beast" that England can be. Likening Gill's aggression to that of Virat Kohli, he added, "Gill was just trying to be competitive...It's great for the series, I don't know why he gets criticised."
