Former India wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel opined that Shubman Gill may not need to put in his energies into managing Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He noted that both of them have experience of playing under and later leading a senior player. "They understand the decision...is about betterment of Indian cricket, both of them always come across as mature," Parthiv added.
