A ninth-standard girl in Assam committed suicide after being allegedly molested by her teacher, Vriku Chetry. The incident occurred in Dhola, Tinsukia district. The girl had attempted suicide earlier, but doctors saved her life. Chetry was arrested on June 11. The girl committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence.
