A new study published in Nature Climate Change reveals that glaciers are nearing the end of their natural cooling ability, which has helped resist global warming. Researchers from ISTA found that this effect will peak between the 2020s and 2040s, after which glaciers will melt faster, losing their capacity to regulate temperature and threatening global ecosystems.
