A major new analysis published in The Lancet said annual global cancer death toll is expected to rise by 75% in next 25 years, reaching 18.6 million in 2050. At least 30.5 million people worldwide will receive a new cancer diagnosis in 2050. Over half of new cases and two-thirds of deaths will likely occur in low and middle-income countries.
