In a major crackdown on transnational crime, Sri Lanka has deported 85 Chinese nationals convicted of cybercrimes and other offences. Under heavy security, they were sent back to China on a charter flight from BIA. The operation, involving over 250 police personnel, signals a strong stance against foreign-run cybercrime. Similar mass deportations occurred earlier in Cambodia and Myanmar.
