Global terror watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has praised India's Enforcement Directorate (ED)- the main agency investigating offences linked to money laundering and foreign exchange. Calling ED a "model agency", FATF noted that India has developed one of the most effective mechanisms among member countries to "identify, attach and repurpose" assets derived from economic offences.
