The monthly milk production in Goa is not enough to meet even a single day’s demand, state Animal Husbandry Minister Nilkant Halarnkar informed the Assembly. He said that in FY 2024–25, Goa Dairy procured 37,986 litres per month, while daily demand was over 48,000 litres. Citing reasons, he said, "Youth are attracted towards tourism activities...than towards farming activities."
