The price of 10grams of gold crossed ₹1,14,000 for the first time as the precious metal hit a lifetime high of ₹1,14,250. Meanwhile, the price of 1kg of silver also neared the ₹1,35,000 milestone as it hit an all-time high of ₹1,34,640 on MCX. The prices of gold and silver have risen over 9% and 8% so far in September.
