Spot gold prices declined by 0.48% to ₹77,622 per 10 grams around 10 am IST on Monday, a day before Dhanteras, according to MCX data. Meanwhile, Gold futures prices on the MCX for December 05, 2024, dropped by 0.42% to ₹78,200. The short-term decline in gold prices was attributed to a rise in US dollar (currently at ₹84.07 per dollar).
