The price of gold crossed ₹1.17 lakh per 10 grams for the first time ever on Tuesday on expectations of further interest rate cuts by US' Federal Reserve. Additionally, silver also hit a lifetime high of ₹1,44,330 per kg as it rose ₹1,231 in a few hours. Both prices are for futures expiring on December 5, 2025.
