GST Council-nominated group of ministers (GoM) tasked with new rate rationalisation will meet on August 20-21 to finalise its recommendations, Finance Ministry officials said. The proposals will then be placed before the council, which will reportedly convene in September 3rd/4th week to finalise the GST reforms. The new framework will represent an overhaul of GST since its launch in 2017.
