Google introduced a major AI shopping update across the app, enabling agentic AI to call local stores on a user's behalf and purchase items automatically. It now allows users to shop conversationally in AI Mode in Search. Google is also adding the shopping features to the Gemini app for US users. Google Pay will help complete the shopping transaction.
