Google on Wednesday launched a family of open models named Gemma for AI development. The models, built on the technology behind Google's Gemini models, will allow developers to create different AI applications. Sharing a chart comparing Gemma and Meta's Llama-2 capabilities, Google said, "Gemma surpasses significantly larger models on key benchmarks."
