Google has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 200 MW of electricity generated through nuclear fusion from Commonwealth Fusion Systems' (CFS) first ARC power plant. A spin-off from MIT, CFS aims to commence commercial fusion power generation from the ARC project in the early 2030s. Google, an investor in CFS since 2021, is increasing its investment in the company.
