Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the company will start testing plans to build solar-powered data centres in space in 2027. "We'll send tiny racks of machines, and have them in satellites, test them out, and then start scaling from there," he stated. He added that it'll be normal to build extraterrestrial data centres in a decade.
