After a 20-year-old college student was allegedly gang-raped by around 10 men on Gopalpur sea beach in Odisha, LoP and ex-CM Naveen Patnaik expressed shock, stating the incident has left everyone shaken. He strongly condemned the crime and said women's safety at tourist destinations is now in question. He urged the government to act against rising atrocities against women.
