The Centre issued a notification directing internet service providers to disable access within India to 25 content providers, including Ullu, ALTT, Mojflix, Triflicks, Hitprime, HotX VIP and Hulchul App, for promoting obscene content. The government said the order is aimed at curbing dissemination of content deemed sexually explicit. The ban includes both mobile apps and the associated websites.
