Defence Ministry approved 10 major capital acquisition proposals worth around ₹1.05 lakh crore to boost indigenous defence capabilities. The purchase includes procurement of 12 mine countermeasure vessels for Indian Navy worth over ₹44,000 crore. Armoured recovery vehicles, surface-to-air missiles, electronic warfare systems, and integrated common inventory management system were also procured.
