After announcing two-slab structure for next-gen GST, the government has compared taxes on goods before GST implementation in 2017 and the new GST rates. The taxes have been reduced from 31% to 5% on chocolates, from 27% to 5% on mineral water, from 22% to 5% on bicycles and from 28% to 5% on personal care items.
