Coal India Limited, the government-owned coal producer, has launched a common uniform for its more than 2 lakh employees across eight states. The uniforms will be rolled out on September 17. Minister of Coal G Kishan Reddy had earlier announced that a dress code would be introduced for everyone across the board, including government officials, workers, and contractual employees.
