Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma announced a committee to research and document the Garos’ migration from Tibet, alongside studies on Khasi and Jaintia origins. Speaking at the 49th Hundred Drums Wangala Festival, he also announced ₹20 crore for the approach road to Wangala A’dam ahead of the festival’s Golden Jubilee celebration next year.
