The government has listed two conditions under which a person's Overseas Citizen of India registration shall be liable to get cancelled. It will be cancelled if a person has been sentenced to imprisonment for term of not less than two years or if they have been charge-sheeted for an offence entailing punishment of imprisonment for seven years or more.
