The Department of Telecommunications has announced a capital expenditure plan of nearly ₹47,000 crore to expand and upgrade BSNL's network. The move follows the telco's record investment of ₹25,000 crore in the past year, which was used to install one lakh towers for 4G mobile services. The new investment will focus on expanding and upgrading 4G and 5G capabilities.
