The Statistics Ministry is conducting a base revision of CPI, as it released discussion paper 2.0 for the inclusion of free Public Distribution System (PDS) items in CPI compilation. It invited feedback from experts, government bodies, financial institutions and other stakeholders on the discussion paper. The revision aims to improve price data coverage and refine current CPI compilation methods.
