The official X handle of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has shared ways to spot deepfake videos. They can be identified by spotting inconsistencies in lighting and shadows as well as in audio, unnatural facial expressions, and background and contextual anomalies. The DoT further recommended the use of deepfake detection tools and urged people to be skeptical of sensational content.
