The Centre has launched the process to auction nine tailing dumps to extract residual gold and other minerals at India's historic Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) in Karnataka, ThePrint reported. The estimated worth of the minerals at KGF is reportedly up to ₹30,000 crore. "Auction process will take anywhere between one-and-a-half years and two years to get completed,” an official said.
