The government will borrow ₹6.61 lakh crore in the second half of the current financial year as per the Budget target. The amount will be raised through the issuance of dated securities and a calendar for the same has been released. Of the total amount, ₹20,000 crore is expected to be borrowed through sovereign green bonds.
