The Centre will establish a multi-agency platform to tackle challenges arising from encrypted apps, reports stated. The platform will be developed like Multi-Agency Centre, involving MeitY, DRDO, and academic institutions. The task has been entrusted to Intelligence Bureau and the Cyber and Information Security Division. Most encrypted apps lack servers in India and don't comply with local laws.
