Sunni Muslim leader Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, currently the 'Grand Mufti of India', joined efforts to halt execution of Indian nurse Nimisha Priya, who allegedly killed a man in Yemen. Ahmad said he has made efforts to try and make the victim's family accept the compensation offered by Priya's family. Her execution, which was scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed.
