While granting relief to a former Government employee, the Supreme Court has held that the grant of residence is only for a limited time, and it cannot obstruct or defeat the pension and retirement benefits. The Apex Court was considering an appeal filed by the Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
