India's gross GST collection rose 4.6% to ₹1.95 lakh crore in October this year, compared to ₹1.87 lakh crore in October 2024. The surge was driven by the 12.8% YoY increase in GST collected on imports. However, the net GST revenue grew marginally by 0.6% YoY to ₹1.69 lakh crore as GST refunds jumped by 39.6% YoY to ₹26,934 crore.
