Marking eight years since the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday called it a "landmark reform that has reshaped India’s economic landscape." He added, "GST has reduced the compliance burden and significantly improved the Ease of Doing Business, especially for small and medium enterprises." GST was introduced on July 1, 2017.
