The GST Council has cut the GST rate on drones, for both personal and commercial use, from the earlier 18%–28% to a uniform 5%. "The uniform tax...will provide significant policy certainty and eliminate classification disputes," Union Minister for Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu said. Additionally, the Council has exempted flight simulators and motion simulators from any indirect taxation.
