OBC leader and Gujarat Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma was on Saturday appointed as new chief of BJP's Gujarat state unit. The announcement was made by Union Minister Bhupender Yadav at the party headquarters in Gandhinagar. The 52-year-old takes over after CR Paatil’s three-year tenure ended in July 2023. Vishwakarma had previously served as chief of the Ahmedabad city unit.
