Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani passed away in the Air India plane crash that occurred in Ahmedabad on Thursday, state BJP President CR Patil confirmed. Patil said Rupani was going to meet his family. The 68-year-old senior BJP leader was the state's Chief Minister from 2016 to 2021 and was in the state's Cabinet from 2014 to 2016.
