In Surat, animal rescuer Trisha Jeevdaya celebrated Janmashtami uniquely by organising a dahi handi for stray dogs, filling it with food and breaking it as the dogs gathered. She even dressed some rescues as Krishna, melting hearts online. Alongside the celebration, she announced a rally opposing the Supreme Court's order to confine stray dogs in Delhi.
