Gulabo Sapera, born into the Kalbaliya community of Rajasthan, was buried alive as an infant due to social stigma but rescued by her mother. Defying prejudice, she mastered Kalbaliya dance, turning it into a celebrated art form worldwide. Her resilience and contribution to Indian folk culture earned her the prestigious Padma Shri, symbolising triumph over adversity.
