The new $100,000 (₹88 lakh) H-1B application fee announced by US President Donald Trump is higher than average annual salary of some H-1B visa holders, according to The Heritage Foundation, a US-based think tank. As per their report, the median pay of some H-1B visa holders was estimated to be about $97,000. About 70% approved H-1B applications account from India.
