Faridabad District Education Officer (DEO) Anshu Singla in Haryana issued a letter asking heads of all government and private schools to monitor students who allegedly skip classes and engage in anti-social and love jihad activities. However, she cancelled the letter later citing "clerical oversight". "There is no instance of love jihad in the district as alleged," she stated.
