Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has become successful bidder for the manufacturing and design technology of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV), developed by ISRO. Over the next two years, ISRO will transfer SSLV technology to HAL. Technology transfer also includes quality control and launch operations. HAL will be responsible for mass production of SSLV to meet Indian and global demand.
